The public sector continues to be under attack from many directions – privatizing public services, starving public institutions of resources and increasing corporatization. This panel will examine innovative fights to take back the public sector. Case studies will include the Campaign for Postal Banking, the Tennessee Is Not For Sale campaign, transit organizing in the Washington, D.C., metro area, and local taxpayer accountability laws.
